About BWH
We work with early-stage healthtech companies to improve how their product is understood, introduced, and experienced. From pre-launch startups to growing teams preparing for scale, we help shape products that feel considered, credible, and ready for real-world use.
Meet Hauwa
Brand strategist, designer, and founder of Brand with Hauwa.
With a background in architecture and over 10 years of experience across branding, product perception, and visual systems, Hauwa works with healthtech teams navigating the challenges of trust, clarity, and adoption in early-stage products.
Her work focuses on helping companies refine how their product is experienced before launch or scale, especially in healthcare contexts where credibility and usability directly affect whether people continue using the product at all.

I’m Hauwa, a brand strategist and designer focused on early-stage healthtech products.
I started working in design young, interning at a marketing firm at 16 while studying architecture and building websites on the side. Over time, I became less interested in design as decoration, and more interested in how products are perceived, understood, and trusted.
After years of freelancing across industries, I noticed the same pattern repeatedly, especially in healthcare-related products, teams would build something technically strong, but users would still hesitate.
Sometimes the issue was onboarding. Sometimes it was messaging. Sometimes the product simply felt too clinical, too vague, or too experimental for something connected to health.
That observation eventually shaped the direction of Brand with Hauwa.
Today, the work focuses on helping healthtech teams improve how their product is introduced and experienced before launch or scale, particularly in moments where trust and clarity influence whether users continue at all.
The approach is strategic first and visual second.
The goal isn’t just to make products look polished, but to help them feel understandable, credible, and ready for real-world use.
The Studio
Healthtech products operate in environments where hesitation matters.
People are often sharing sensitive information, making decisions under stress, or interacting with systems they don’t fully understand yet.
That means product perception cannot be treated as an afterthought.
At Brand with Hauwa, we work on the parts of the experience that influence whether a product feels usable, understandable, and appropriate from the first interaction.
This includes positioning, onboarding, product credibility, and communication across patient, clinician, and stakeholder-facing touchpoints.
The work is structured to support products preparing for launch, adoption, or growth in credibility-sensitive environments.
Principles
Design should reduce friction, not add to it.
In healthcare products, clarity matters. We focus on making experiences easier to understand and move through, especially during early interactions.
01
Trust is shaped through small decisions.
The way a product introduces itself, asks for information, or explains outputs all influence whether users feel comfortable continuing.
02
Products need to work in real environments.
A product can function perfectly and still struggle in practice. We pay attention to workflow fit, usability, and how products are experienced outside internal teams.
